Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño is leading a working tour in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, starting this Thursday, to secure key strategic agreements in technology and sustainability.
His agenda includes meetings with various sectors in Kaohsiung, Taiwan’s main export hub and a leader in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Kaohsiung has gained recognition for implementing shared mobility systems, smart patrolling, automation, and logistics for heavy cargo transportation.
Governor Durazo will also meet with executives from major Taiwanese companies to advance the development of Sonora’s Green and Secure Corridor (Smart City), as well as the manufacturing of electric vehicles, buses, and batteries.
Through these initiatives, the Sonora Plan will drive actions with long-term economic and social impacts for the state.
“This visit demonstrates Sonora’s commitment to leading in innovation, economic development, and sustainability, ensuring a prosperous future for our families,” highlighted Governor Durazo.
During the tour, the governor will meet with a group of young engineers from Sonora participating in an educational exchange at three universities in the region, made possible through the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan.
This strategic visit reinforces Sonora’s position as a key player in the global transition toward a green economy and technological innovation.
