The Government of Sonora, through the Council for Sustainable Development (Codeso), invites young sonorans to participate in the Second Call for the Student Mobility Program to Taiwan, a unique opportunity to train in the industries of the future.
Francisco Acuña Méndez, Executive President of CODESO, highlighted that Taiwan is currently the global epicenter of semiconductor technology and electromobility, key areas of the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan.
“This call not only opens the door to global knowledge but also offers our young people the possibility of returning to Sonora with the necessary tools to lead its transformation,” he stated.

“We invite young Sonorans to participate in the second call for the Student Mobility Program to Taiwan. This program is aimed at students between the ages of 19 and 24 who are enrolled in a public or private university in the state and have completed at least 50 percent of their degree,” said Francisco Acuña Méndez, Executive President of CODESO.
He added that applicants must have a minimum GPA of 8.5, an advanced level of English, and a valid passport (or proof of application).
“We are looking for students in engineering fields such as Mechatronics, Electronics, Systems, Electrical, Industrial, Semiconductors, or any discipline related to the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan. We want to train leaders who are prepared for the challenges of the new economy,” he emphasized.
Francisco Acuña invited interested students to complete their registration on the official platform www.codeso.mx/convocatoria-intercambio before April 4.
The selection process is entirely merit-based, with only 30 students being chosen for this generation that will represent Sonora in Taiwan. He urged students to take advantage of this opportunity to grow, learn, and open the doors of the world to their future.
