Diego Aviles, executive coordinator of the Council for Sustainable Development (CODESO), together with Monica Pinto, director of Prosonora, and Angela Gonzalez, director of Investment Promotion of Prosonora, met with the Economic Promotion Council of the city of Obregon and the Secretariat of Economic Development of Cajeme.

The goal of the meeting was to discuss key strategies and outline plans for the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan in the southern region of the state. Participants highlighted the importance of this initiative for the economic and sustainable development of Sonora.

The Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan is an initiative promoted by Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño since the beginning of his administration, for the benefit of Sonora’s families. This plan seeks to turn the state into the logistical gateway to the northwest of Mexico.

The Plan promotes the development of clean energy, air, road, and rail interconnection, as well as increased port capacity.
“Sonora’s moment is now,” said Diego Aviles, emphasizing the opportunity for growth and development that this plan represents for the region.
