During the meeting, it was emphasized that, under the leadership of Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño, the Sonora Plan has become a model of development with human security. In addition to driving economic growth, it has also achieved improvements in the well-being of sonoran families.
CODESO’s executive president, Francisco Acuña Méndez, announced that after laying the groundwork for the Sonora Plan, efforts are now focused on establishing its next phase by promoting the development of ecosystems for electromobility, semiconductors, and renewable energy.
Meanwhile, the state government’s secretary of public security, Víctor Hugo Enríquez, explained the actions taken to establish the Green and Safe Corridor connecting Arizona with Sonora. “The goal is to expand this corridor to make this region a major investment hub in key industrial sectors,” he added.
For his part, the secretary of finance, Carlos Hernández Cordero, stated that in alignment with the Mexico Plan promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum, the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan offers tax incentives, such as payroll tax exemptions.
“Coordinated work with the business sector is key to positioning Sonora as a leader in industrial development and sustainability. With the support of strong institutions and a clear strategy, we continue to advance in attracting high-value investments, generating specialized jobs, and consolidating an innovative ecosystem that benefits the entire community,” he said.
