Thanks to the benefits generated by the Sonora Sustainable Energy Plan since its implementation, key projects such as the Puerto Peñasco Photovoltaic Plant and the installation of new solar plants continue to strengthen the generation of clean and sustainable energy in the state, highlighted Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño during a meeting with the Secretary of Energy (Sener), Luz Elena González Escobar, and executives from UGT Renewables.
The state governor emphasized the importance of closely monitoring these projects, which include the modernization of the Guaymas Port infrastructure and the Guaymas-Chihuahua highway, as well as promoting the Sonora Plan, which drives sustainable development and economic decarbonization.
During the meeting, Governor Durazo outlined the characteristics and benefits of other priority projects, such as the Rafael Galván Maldonado photovoltaic plant, new solar power stations, border port modernization, the development of industrial parks, and tax incentives for companies that join the Sonora Plan.
The sonoran leader reaffirmed his commitment to continuing collaboration with UGT Renewables to strengthen investments in the state and turn the advantages of the Sonora Plan into a model of sustainable and environmentally friendly development for the benefit of the sonoran population.
